Paul Heathcote and Gary Bates formed Heathcotes Outside Ltd. in 1997. The plan to offer our clients luxury marquee catering has emerged relatively recently, providing the very best that the Heathcotes cuisine has to offer, served in the location of their choice.

Paul Heathcote’s original restaurant opened in 1990, since then he has enjoyed unparalleled success and acclaim through his award winning restaurants, Egon Ronay Chef of the Year, Restaurateur of the Year and two Michelin Stars from 1994 – 1998 (Longridge still remaining one star). Heathcotes has sites in Manchester, Preston, Longridge, Liverpool, Leeds, Wrightington, and Olive Press Restaurants in Preston, Manchester, Liverpool and Warrington. Paul continues to develop further, particularly into marquee catering. Award winning food, with regular TV and radio appearances, has secured his celebrity status around the North West.

Gary Bates, Paul’s business partner and Managing Director of Heathcotes Outside, himself an award winning chef and expert in marquee catering, has worked with Paul for some time, both during their training and beyond. A firm believer in attention to detail, Gary is hands on within the company’s development and growth.
